The "Top 50 Leading Law Firms of Ukraine" survey has been conducted annually since 1997. Its key feature is a comprehensive assessment of the market players in terms of both quantitative and qualitative criteria: number of lawyers, profitability, the complexity of deals and disputes handled, and financial efficiency. The reputation is also considered, thanks to independent peer voting.
In light of the full-scale military aggression of russia against Ukraine, this year the additional criterion for evaluation was introduced which is the involvement in defense and support of Ukraine. As real leadership is more than just a professional area.
The study period covers 12 calendar months: Q4 2021 and Q1-Q3 2022. It allowed the researchers to comprehensively assess the legal teams in the pre-war period and their ability to resist to the stress as well as their adaptiveness to the current reality.
