We are pleased to share that Ganna Prokhorova and Oksana Padokh have contributed an article to the 8th edition of The Legal Industry Reviews, focusing on Ukraine’s progress in aligning its intellectual property legislation with European Union standards.
In the article titled “Ukraine’s Progress in Aligning IP Law with EU Standards”, the authors examine the ongoing transformation of Ukraine’s intellectual property framework as the country advances on its path toward EU membership. The IP sector remains one of the most advanced areas of legal harmonisation, with 98% of the obligations under the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement already fulfilled.
The publication provides an overview of the key legislative reforms, recent developments, and remaining challenges in the process of aligning Ukraine’s IP system with EU law. It also reviews progress across the main areas of intellectual property regulation, including copyright, industrial property, and enforcement mechanisms.
